Overview: George Mason University’s Global EMBA Program is designed to prepare executives for the new competitive business realities. The program develops real world skills that translate into real world business decisions. Courses are offered onsite and/or online. Regardless of the deliver format students choose, they will expand their knowledge base of business fundamentals and core management tools. Students will also gain an essential global perspective by participating in multiple international residencies. In these intensive sessions, you’ll study contemporary international business issues and work in teams to craft solutions to address specific global business challenges.
Program Format: The program is done on George Mason University’s campus in Fairfax, Virginia, and also online. The traditional in-class model starts every September. There are four semesters to the program, corresponding to the typical Fall/Spring semester schedule of most other schools. The school’s online Executive MBA gives you the option of three start dates per year. Each of our seven–week modules is available online. Students complete two to three courses in an applications–oriented sequence in an innovative online format.
Program Schedule: The program’s onsite program is 21 months. The online EMBA program can be completed in 18 months. For the classroom model, students meet for class one day per week on an alternating Friday/Saturday schedule from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Classes are held at the Center for Innovative Technology on George Mason University’s campus in Fairfax, Virginia.

Class Profile: The average student is 41 years, with approximately 14.5 years post-undergraduate full-time work experience.
Admission Requirements: To be considered for admission to the George Mason University EMBA program applicants must submit an online application and $65 application fee, a current resume, two official copies of all post secondary universities or colleges attended, official GMAT or GRE score reports (waivers will be considered on a case-by-case basis), two professional letters of recommendation from current or former supervisor, a personal career goals statement, and an interview with the Executive MBA Director.
