Overview/Program Format: The Duke MBA-Cross Continent program is designed for full-time working professionals interested in earning a Master of Business Administration degree in 16 months. The program allows individuals to not only learn the fundamentals of business administration and strategic thinking and decision making, but also helps them build a cultural-diverse peer network across the world. Students study in several international locations such as Dubai, New Delhi, St. Petersburg, and Shanghai and Kunshan. Classes also take place on Duke University’s campus in Durham, North Carolina. Learning is even done at students’ homes via Duke’s distance learning platform.
Program Schedule: The program’s duration is 24 months.
Curriculum: Over 6 terms, students complete a total of 16 courses including 10 core courses, 4 elective courses, and 2 multi-term courses.
Core Courses: Core courses for the program include Managerial Effectiveness, Managerial Economics, Decision Models, financial accounting, Statistical Models, Marketing Management, Corporate Strategy, Global Financial Management, Managerial Accounting, Operations Management, Global Markets and Institutions, Culture, Civilizations, and Leadership.
Class Profile: On average, students are approximately 30 years of age, with a minimum of 3 years post-undergraduate work experience.
Admission Requirements: To be considered for admission to the Cross Continent MBA program applicants must submit a completed online application, two personal statements, a nonrefundable application fee ($225), a current resume, two letters of recommendation, official transcripts from all previous post-secondary education, a GMAT score report, and Official results from the TOEFL, PTE, or IELTS exam for applicants whose native language is not English.
Applicants must also submit a letter from their current employer outlining the company’s support of time and/or financial commitment. Principals of a company can provide a letter of self-sponsorship (view a sample sponsorship letter).
