Overview: California State University L.A.’s MBA program’s curriculum is geared toward helping general managers develop business acumen, and be able to effectively work in an increasing multicultural and global workplace. The program works to integrate modules that cross-functional disciplines.
Program Format: The program is taught on the California State University L.A.’s campus in Los Angeles, California. Lecture and discussion, as well as group-work and case study methods are used.
Program Schedule: Classes are taught in the evenings.
Curriculum: The curriculum includes required core courses, elective courses, a comprehensive exam, and possible courses from the Foundations of Business list (this is mainly for students who do not have undergraduate degrees in business administration).

Class Profile: Participants typically have two years of professional experience prior to entering the MBA program.
Admission Requirements: For admission to the University, applicants must have:
Submit an official CSU Graduate Application to the University
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent academic preparation as determined by Admissions and University Outreach or another appropriate campus authority.
Two official transcripts, which must include verification of the bachelor’s degree.
A grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 (4.0=A) in their latest 90-quarter (or 60 semester) units attempted and good standing at the last college attended.
TOEFL score of at least 80 (Internet based test), 213 (computer version) or 550 (paper version) for those applicants who earned a bachelor’s degree to a school where English was not the principal language of instruction.
In addition to University admission requirements, applicants to graduate programs in the College of Business and Economics must submit the following:
Separate Graduate Program Application to the College of Business and Economics.
Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score of 500 or higher. Applications for the GMAT and an explanatory pamphlet may be obtained at the College Advisement Center (SH 256B), or directly from the Educational Testing Service, P.O. Box 966, Princeton, NJ (1-800-462-8669) or online at GRE.
Three letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to the applicant’s ability to pursue graduate studies. References from employers and faculty members are acceptable.
